First FF game: Watched bits and pieces of FFVIII being played. The first I actively played myself was FFX.
Favorite FF game: Still FFX, even after all these years.
Which other FF games have you played? FFIV, FFVII (original only), FFVIII (completed on my own later), FFIX, FFX-2, FFXII, FFXIII
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? FFX/X-2 was my first fandom, and I still think of it as home. I'm also active in FFXII and have poked my head into FFXIII.
For authors - What story idea(s) do you have in mind? I've started playing with a FFXII story, set post game, that will focus on the political situations in Dalmasca and Rozarria. It will be Al-Cid/Ashe (a sadly-underrepresented pairing that I love) and Ashe/Balthier (my FFXII OTP), and possibly also Al-Cid/Ashe/Balthier, if I can get that to work.
Anything else you think we should know? This is the first fandom project I have ever modded, so please be kind. >.>

I still find it weird to think of FFX as an older fandom. It makes me feel really, really old, because I remember waiting and anticipating for that game's release while still in the really old fandoms. XD But Ashe/Balthier is hot. I approve. ♥

I didn't get involved in fandom until 2005, several years after FFX came out, so it seems more recent to me. I forget, sometimes, how long ago it probably seems to people. (Also, I was past 30 at the time -- I came to gaming late compared to a lot of people -- so if you think it makes *you* feel old... ;) )

But Ashe/Balthier is hot.

I am an oldbie to the games, but new to the fandoms!

I think it was the beach place (Phon Coast?) where I decided I shipped Ashe/Balthier. XD

Yes, the Phon Coast. And that would be the place for me as well. :) Although the FMV after the final battle pretty well cemented it for me...

Ashe/Al-Cid! I love this pairing a HIDEOUS amount (Especially if it's practical instead of romantic - Ashe always struck me as a practical person first and foremost, romance was for later), because um, Ashe/Balthier didn't make as much sense to me? I AM INTRIGUED BY THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO PAIRINGS, basically! Also politics, YAY!

I did not realize you were an Ashe/Al-Cid fan! Excellent. I always scratch my head a little when people say they didn't see Ashe/Balthier, because it was so blindingly obvious to me, but then again people say the same thing about Balthier and Fran, which struck me so much as a friendship that I can't see it any other way. ;) Ah, interpretation.

I think it is pretty much impossible to write Ashe fic without bringing in politics. Which is fun, but also *complicated* arrrrgh.

I too find Al-Cid/Ashe to be underrepresented, even though Ashe/Balthier is my OTP. My interests are piqued!

Cool. :) Yeah, the last time I checked, the only Ashe/Al-Cid fic on AO3 was by me! I can only hope that my writing a nice epic about them inspires the world to write more... ;)
