MQ was great for me, too. It was also the first FF game I beat easily. XD

The PSP version is Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. It has little anime scenes, excellent voice acting and translation, and some extra jobs and side quests.

I know exactly how you feel! I've been collecting piles of video games, and I've only played a small percentage. And it takes me a long time, with college eating up most of my time. If you drag out the PS1 version of Final Fantasy Tactics, I know there's online strategies. I got confused with it the first time, too. The trick is to get what you need from each Job and move on. Master classes later. Build a plan from the beginning on what you want your troops to be. You don't need more than four or five extra troops in the beginning, so don't overdo it. Learn what abilities are most effective through experimentation or by the strategy guides. And hell, if you do play it, ask me. I've played that game so many times. And built my characters into gods, mostly because I loved grinding. XD

Okay, that's what I thought it was called. I have it on my Amazon wishlist.

But yeah, I'm definitely going to revisit that game someday and I'll be using Game FAQs because it helps me a lot with things. My girlfriend also highly recommends playing the PS1 version.

Can I friend you? I don't know if I could remember to ask you when I finally get around to playing it in the future as I'm not going to find the game until we move into our new house and I won't get a chance to play due to college until January.

And yeah, I have the same problem with time and college. It's really hard to balance the two.

I enjoy the dialogue and affected medieval-type speech in the PSP version better, but there's a lot to love about that PS1 version (there's a certain villain you can steal from in there that you can't in the PSP).

And sure! Happy to friend you back. I'll likely not be on my LJ/DW for 2-3 weeks. I'm technically cheating on my studies by being on DW right now. >.>

Don't mind if people disappear for a while. I have been known to do that as well when I am in my moods.

We all need breaks sometimes, even from the internets!
