And let's face it. Two very pretty men going at it? *drools happily* Oh, yes. I can go for that! And yes, handling canon is my favorite part of writing fanfiction. Easily.

Dragon Age has a pretty select fandom. I tended to lurk a lot and post a TON in Swooping_Is_Bad, the Alistair-centric fan community. I think I helped write the book for Alistair-based slash. >.> It was fun writing him, since he's technically the "straight male" love interest, and Zevran is the bisexual male love interest. My favorite pairing from that game. I wrote 60k+ words for that game in March alone, I think it was. Maybe April. In any case, some 50k+ was a single fic series that I had so much fun writing, it should have been outlawed.

After I decided I needed a break (fandom drama sucks), one of my friends directed me to Dreamwidth, then to Hardmode, and then I discovered Megaflare. I have to admit, I'm more than a little nervous about this whole big bang thing. *laughs* I haven't written much FF stuff in a very long time. I've been practicing a little on the left over prompts from FF_Exchange, but it's rapidly getting to the point that I have to commit to a story idea. Eeee.... I'm excited/nervous/giggling like the fangirl I am all at once. XD

Oh, yes, plenty to drool over with two hot guys in the mix. :D I love poking at canon and exploring characters, but everybody needs a little shallow porn once in a while. ;)

I know very little about the game, but I admire how much inspired you to write. I never imagined that. That's an awful lot of words, but pretty awesome. Words flowing always feels fantastic.

Ack, fandom drama does suck. Unfortunately, I've been around too long, and I know it well, especially since I used to be more... contentious... before old age set in and calmed me down. XD I'm sure you will do fine, and it's good you're practicing on the FFE leftovers. That should help. Being excited should help. Sometimes, when I'm at a los for a plot, I just go with a vague shadowy idea and write. That's how I got my [community profile] hardmode fic done!

Sadly, it seems like the only way I can write my hardmode fic is to cut off the monitor and type blind. *laughs* I think I get all tense and I keep rereading what I've already written and just not finishing it, so cutting off the monitor helps. Only problem I run into then is that I tend to ramble in these huge compound sentences, with like, four "and"s. XD Kind of sad.

Ack, that is troublesome. I know that problem, too. What I might recommend is a way to somehow convince yourself to edit it after it's written and just barrel through. Maybe even tuck away the previous sections in another file that you close after saving, so that way it's not onscreen? Sometimes barreling through and forgetting about the beginning helps.
