It's funny, but while I do love some het couples (Tseng/Elena, Squall/Rinoa, Zack/Aerith, etc.), I find that I don't write them very often. I think part of it is because, especially in the case of, say, Squall/Rinoa, that story's already been told. We ALL played that story. ^^; Whereas, stories about slash and femme slash couples are more difficult. You have to explain things (or get rid of partners. XD) and make certain that it all jives with canon. Or make it AU, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
But then again, I never participated in fandom before last year. Dragon Age Origins coaxed me into fandoms, and into the wondrous world of Big Bangs and prompt exchanges and just... wow. XD Been writing fanfiction since 2001, and I'm only just now getting into this sort of thing! That's kind of sad, I know. :X
By the way, I have a tendency to sound a little disjointed when I'm typing. *laughs* Can't help it. There's connections between my thoughts in my head, but those connections seem to disappear whenever I start trying to actually talk.
