First FF game: The first game I ever saw was FFVIII, which I watched my then-boyfriend T play. The first I actually played myself was FFX.
Favorite FF game: Final Fantasy X. First, last, and always.
Favorite FF minigame: Sphere break in FFX-2. No, really. I love number puzzles, and I really enjoyed playing this one. I would even just go to Luca sometimes and play *for fun*.
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? My primary fandoms are FFX/X-2 and FFXII. I've also written in FFXIII and FFIV.
Other fandoms, current and/or past? Except for some dabbling here and there -- Robin McKinley's Sunshine, Star Trek, Babylon 5 -- I was never really active as a writer in any non-Final Fantasy fandom until a couple of months ago, when my soul was consumed by Dragon Age. I've played the game twice, written three stories with more on the way, and am now working on DA2.
What FF game do you plan to play/replay next, and why? FFVI, mostly because it's so beloved in the fandom (and by friends whom I trust!). I started it last year, got stalled on a boss battle, and haven't had a chance to get back to it yet, and at this point I worry that I might have to start over. Either way, though, I am determined to finish it eventually.

Mostly my X-2 idea is just the burning need I have to resurrect Jecht and Auron when Tidus comes back at the end, which means "idea" is a kind way of putting it. I feel this is a cliche that needs to exist in this fandom and since I haven't seen anyone else do it, I'm prepared to start it on my own. XD

First FF game: FFVIII. My sister and I bought a used PS from a guy who needed quick cash, and my dad ran out and bought Ash the first game she saw. She thought Rinoa was pretty. I didn't get interested until I saw her summon Shiva.

First FF game: I rented and played the first FF when it first came out. In fact, I think I played a bit of it at Powerfest before it came out!
Favorite FF game: I like every one that I've played, but FFVI will always have a special place in my heart.
Favorite FF minigame: Tough call, but I'd have to say Chocobo Hot & Cold from IX, because the treasure hunting was so much fun.
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? I've written fic for FFIV, FFV, FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX and a little FFXIII. Most of the rest of the games I haven't played yet.
Other fandoms, current and/or past? ...how long do you want this list to be? Because it could be very very long! But I'll try to stick to the high points: Brigandine, Star Ocean 2, Valkyrie Profile series, Skies of Arcadia, Dragon Quest VIII, and Mass Effect. (I would probably be a lot more involved in the Dragon Age fandom if I could find the time to finish the games.)
What FF game do you plan to play/replay next, and why? When I have time, I really want to play FFXII, because I've played a tiny bit and it looks great. And if I can find it, I want to play War of the Lions - I've played the PSX version, but I want to see the new translation so much. And I like fighting games (although I'm horrible at them) so I'd like to try the Dissidia games at some point or another.... I need a PSP. ^^;

First FF game: The one that was just straight-up Final Fantasy at the time. :) I think I've played every port and remake (including the WSC), and I still have a deep and abiding love for the original release, weird bugs and all.
Favorite FF game: Probably VI, but I recently finished XII and loved it SO MUCH that there is now competition.
Favorite FF minigame: For sheer hours of my life sunk into it, snowboarding in VII.
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? I've written for I, IV, VI, and VII, and I'm currently trying to finish up a fic for I. I can hear XII calling sweetly to me, too.
Other fandoms, current and/or past? Many! I've been all over the early Dragon Quest series, at least semi-recently wrote fic for Ace Attorney and Legend of Zelda, and am always hip-deep in Chrono Trigger. I don't usually feel the urge to fic for non-video-game fandoms (I finally wrote an Utena fic a while back, have lengthy unfinished Yu-Gi-Oh fic sitting around on my hard drive, and will someday likely begin writing Doctor Who and never stop), but I've read or otherwise been involved in rather a lot.

I never replay FF8 from beginning to end anymore because I have two memory cards full of saves. I have a save for just about everywhere. LOL

hahaha! See, I am dumb and only save in one save slot. Then inevitably I lose the memory card or forget what I was doing or decide it's been so long that I might as well play it from the beginning. Although I just downloaded VIII from the PSN the other day so now I have it as long as my PS3 is alive.

For a long time, FF8 was the only game me and my sister had (this is back in the before times, of course) so we played it a ton and we both had memory cards and we FILLED IT UP WITH SAVES. I still have both of these memory cards since I'm the only one with a PS2. Profit for me. :D

I actually don't mind replaying the game, but I am a level grinder so it means a lot of tedium. I was busting ass on a FFX replay when my game glitched and told me I didn't get the flower scepter when I CLEARLY DID. I was completely heartbroken!

Favorite FF game: If I have to say, hands down, FFIX. FFVII does give me great characters and a world to be inspired over, but FFIX story was pretty solid. I also love FFX, FFVIII, and I was surprised in how much I enjoyed FFV. VI also deserves special mention. Final Fantasy Tactics is great for having a portable game.

Favorite FF minigame: Chocobo Hot and Cold in FFIX. Triple Triad has great illustrations for the cards. The Chocobo mini-games in FFIV were fun, too.

Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, dabble a bit in XII.

First FF game: Not sure! I think it would probably have been IV.
Favourite FF game: Uh, V, mostly! Partly because it pings me in the game mechanics (mastering lots of jobs, hell yeah) and partly because the humour and tone appeals to me. Puns, hell yeah! :D X is also kind of good for me in the game mechanics part, turning everyone into different things~ story's pretty strong. There's a couple of things that bug me about it, so I wouldn't say it's my favourite.
Favourite FF minigame: …oh man minigames are kind of not my favourite thing ever. I guess the Chocobo Tales with the cards, the minigames in that are pretty nice. :|a I like the Ramuh maze one.
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? Oh man, I don't know if I really count as active…? I'd say Dissidia and V, with a bit of X, VI and IV.
