Which other FF games have you played? DFF, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2 and XIII. I'm in the middle of playing FFI, Crisis Core, and XII
Which FF fandoms are you now or have you been active in? I used to write fic for VIII back around 2000 but right now I'm probably more firmly into the DFF fandom than anything else. Also, since I finished XIII, I guess you can say I'm a bit active there too.
For authors - What story idea(s) do you have in mind?

Right now, the most prominent idea I keep thinking of is the backstory fanfic of one of my stronger RP muses that I've been meaning to write for a while, my Dark Sorcerer Squall (transient_beast. It takes place during DFF where Ultimecia actually manages to "coerce" Squall into being her Knight and having him betray everyone until Squall actually turns on her and absorbs her Sorcery power and continues to be a Warrior of Chaos. At least that's where I think I'm going with it. The only solid pairing for this would be Ultimecia/Squall (dub-con) with possible hinted pairings.

The second idea is another DFF story (post DFF) with a focus on FFVIII and FFVII worlds. Like there being "gates" that allows the other FF worlds to intermingle. Basically it's a prelude to Inter-World War type of fic with Galbadia (and SeeD) being the "antagonists". This idea actually brought around the conception of one of my other RP muses, a Female!Squall. And I kind of want to write this one with that female!Squall as the main character. Also, if I go with the Female!Squall route, I will also be using the idea of Ultimecia (having died in DFF) did pass along her sorceress powers. So yeah, not only is this about FF8 world invading FF7 world, it's a Becoming Sorceress fic if Fem!Squall.

Thirdly is my post-FF8 only idea. I probably won't write this one but hey, I might as well make a mention of it right? It's a fic set about ten to twenty years post game about how FF8 "present day" turned into Ultimecia's "future". This one is a tragedy and possibly a really bad one.

Anything else you think we should know? The last time I tried a big bang, I didn't finish or even start it because I simply forgot about it. This time, hopefully, will be different! Also, I ship Cloud/Squall in DFF so there's a good chance that in either fic idea 1 or 2 that it will be another "prominent" pairing (along with WoL/Squall).

Oh and if you want more detail on any of the ideas I have for this bigbang, just ask. I'm happy to supply more info. :)

Wow, you have some epic FF8 and Dissidia-type ideas going on there. They sound like funs things to write about. A Fem!Squall is intriguing. And ever since KH2, I've been kinda fond of the idea of some form of Cloud/Squall. Good luck with all that! *still amazed at how many people are still into FF8 after all these years*

I refer to Dissidia as DFF (Dissidia: Final Fantasy, you know?)

Just finished playing that game about a week or so ago. ;) Probably should do another replay, especially since I want to get into Lightning's head a bit better. Haha.

I actually play(ed) a Fem!Squall on Livejournal and I've been told that I managed to actually write an-honest-to-goodness IC Fem!Squall. The logs are over here, if anyone's interested in reading them. The War-Prelude actually started off as Gale/Fem!Squall's backstory but when I was RPing her, I was using her Post-Dissidia only. Also? If I write out the War-Prelude for the bigbang, Fem!Squall's knight is most likely Cloud. ;)

Ah, I gotcha. For some reason, I thought it was Final Fantasy: Dissidia, so I was tryng to think of games that start with D. XD

Yeah, I was thinking of a replay myself, when time allows, to help with characterization. Lightning is one of my favorite characters (along with Hope), so her head is an awesome place. :D

I'm sure making Fem!Squall IC is difficult. It's been too long since I played or cast any serious thought at FF8 to really be able judge what is IC for that game, but cognratulations on impressing those who know the characters better. Cloud as Fem!Squall's knight sounds lots of fun, too!

And really? I kind of wanted to try and write a fic featuring my new Crossover Pairing of Squall/Lightning but somehow I don't think that'll turn out as detailed as the other ideas I had listed. I mean come on, those two would just bond over gunblades, huh?

It sounding fun was the main reason why I was thinking of Cloud as a Knight. That and I ship 7x8. If it wasn't Cloud, I would have probably picked WoL but he's always more devoted to Cosmos than anyone else, imo.

Ooh, Fem!Squall sounds lovely. That... I want to draw her. >.> Art bunnies! No! I must finish my Hardmode fic first. *firm nod* Then I can doodle Fem!Squalls.
