Man I hope I manage to finish this thing in time. Its scope keeps getting bigger and bigger. Anyway, hijinks:
Zidane strolled into Treno the way he had all his life, full of bluster and confidence, but for the first time the guards actually took notice.
“First time in Treno, sir?”
“Yes,” Zidane lied. He gave them a genuine smile, pleased that his cover was going over well already. “I have business with Mr. Rook. Could you direct me to his estate?” He rubbed two fifty gil pieces between his fingers for emphasis.
The guard took them and dropped the coins into his coin purse. “He's on the right side of the waterfront, between Mr. Knight and Mr. King. In fact, you might want to visit Mr. King's auction house first, he spends most of his time there.”
Zidane tipped his hat. “Much appreciated.”
“And a word of warning sir,” the guard added. “Be careful with how you show off your father's gil. There's thieves about.”
